Ira Malcom Brown, 78, of San Augustine, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2022 in Hospice in the Pines, Lufkin. He was born in San Augustine on Dec. 12, 1943, to Guy Rufus Brown and Georgia Ann Tidwell Brown. He was a lifetime resident of San Augustine and worked as a machinist at Lufkin Industries for 46 years before retiring. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Broaddus and he enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.

Freddie Jean Fuller, 86, of Rosevine, passed away Monday, Oct. 17, 2022 at UT Health of East Texas in Tyler. She was born in Gravelhill, on Aug. 2, 1936 to Austin Elbert Griffin and Annie Arlee Moore Griffin. She was a lifetime resident of Sabine County and a member of Rosevine Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, infant sister, Bobbie Griffin; brothers, Dale Griffin, Sammy Griffin and Eddie Dean Griffin; brother-in-law, T. R. Retherford; and granddaughter, Danielle Toups.

Gary Dean Hudson, known to his friends as 'Buzz', 68, of Hemphill, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2022 in Beaumont. He was born in Astoria, OR, on June 19, 1954 to Donald Alfred Hudson and Beverly Ellen Patson Hudson. He had resided in Eureka, KS before moving to Sabine County with his wife, Rita, whom he loved dearly, in 2007. He had worked as an electrician for many years and he was a member of Fairdale Baptist Church.

Emma Anita (Pratt) Bennett

Emma Anita (Pratt) Bennett, 87, of San Augustine passed away Sunday, October 9, 2022, at Nacogdoches Medical Center. She was born Jan. 7, 1935, in Middlesboro, KY, to parents Annie Roberta (Satterfield) Pratt and William McLain Pratt. She had lived in many areas of the United States, but the family has called San Augustine “home” for the past thirty years. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church; had previously been active with the Ladies Auxiliary to the VFW and was also active with the Denning VFD chili suppers. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and reading. She loved children and had a passion for helping raise and care for many children outside her family. She was a member of the Satterfield Family Association.

She was born in Bronson on September 6, 1937 to George Washington King, Sr. and Ida Alma Richards King. She was a lifetime resident of Sabine County. She was an active member of Broaddus Pentecostal Church. She is survived by her husband of nearly 65 years, Billy Richard Mc Clelland of Bronson; sons, Mikel Paul Hammock of St. Cloud, FL and Richard Wayne McClelland and wife, Julie, of Bronson; daughters, Brenda Gayle Crow and husband, Jim, of Bronson, Tammie Lois Covington and husband, Johny, of Center, and Arlene Parrish and husband, Royce, of Bronson; brother, G. W. King and wife, Tammie, of Hemphill; brother-in-law, Bobby Ray McClelland of Bronson; grandchildren, Amanda Hammock, Brandi Ebarb, Angie White, Amber Havard, Jimbo Crow and wife, Kayla, Jana Keele and husband, Ryan, Joel Covington and wife, Casey, Jonathan Allen, Hannah Elliott and husband, Kenneth, Dustin Parrish, Susan Parrish, Megan Cain and husband, Kurt, and Aaron Mc-Clelland; 22 great grandchildren and 23 great great grandchildren.
