Percy Eugene Parsons

Percy Eugene Parsons, 76, of Pineland, passed away on May 27, 2024, in Lufkin. He was born on July 12, 1947, in Jasper to Percy Parsons and Willie Barnell Hennigan Parsons.

Percy worked many years as a diesel mechanic in the pipeline and trucking industry. His dedication and expertise were well-known among his colleagues and friends.

He was a member of the Danville Masonic Lodge #101 in Kilgore, and the DeWitt-Clinton Masonic Lodge #29 in Jasper. Percy was a four-year resident of Sabine County and had previously lived in Kilgore.

Mr. Mark Anthony Brown, age 50, of San Augustine departed this physical life on May 21, 2024, at CHI St. Luke Memorial Hospital in Lukin. Mr. Brown was born July 09, 1973. Survived by son Spencer Brown (Shannon) of San Augustine, daughter Brianna Brown of Nacogdoches, three grandchildren, father Robert Earl Brown of San Augustine, two brothers Robert Lynn Brown of San Augustine and Robert D. Cloudy (Crystal) of Dallas, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Joe Carlton Jones

Joe Carlton Jones, 64, of Chinquapin, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024 at his residence. He was born on July 22, 1959, in Corrigan, to Junious Burnette Jones and Mildred Pauline Mericle Jones. Joe, a graduate of West Sabine High School, pursued a career as a Construction Electrician. He was a proud Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and grilling in his free time. Joe was known for his love of talking on the phone to anyone who would listen and cherished his wife, Tina, and his son, Jesse, whom he affectionately referred to as Who-B.

Sister Gladys Faye Lynch was born on April 9, 1957 to the late Hilliot and Alice Gordon. She departed this life Monday, May 27, 2024. She united with Knox Chapel Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Eddie Fobb and remain there until her untimely death under the leadership of Pastor Darrell Holmes. Gladys were a member of the Knox Chapel Baptist Church Usher Board and the Program Committee.

James W. Maher died peacefully in his sleep on Friday, May 24th. He was the love of my life. Cancer raised it's ugly head again. I am so grateful for a peaceful, pain-free, eternal sleep. He will be forever missed. He leaves behind his loving wife of 30 years, Mary Maher, 3 sons, 5 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

James 'Joe' Wendell McNaughten, age 87, of Milam, passed away on June 3, 2024, in at Legacies Nursing and Rehab, Hemphill. He was born on September 23, 1936, in Milam, to Benton and Lydia Buna Gray Mc Naughten. Joe served in the Army during the Korean War and was a dedicated Maintenance Superintendent at Temple-Inland for 42 years. Joe was a longtime member of the Sexton Masonic Lodge and worshipped at Bethany Baptist Church in Milam where he served as a deacon. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working on things in his spare time.

Kamdan Lee Miller (Farmer), precious, handsome son of Katelyne Miller and GaryJoe Farmer, came into our lives on May 17th, 2024 at 12:16 a.m. in HCA Healthcare in Webster. Kamdan blessed us for one week and three days. Our hearts are broken but we know that he is with our Lord and all the many loved ones in Heaven. Kamdan is survived by his mother, Katelyne Miller of Bronson; father, GaryJoe Farmer of Hemphill; brother, Ethan Nathaniel Farmer of Bronson; grandparents, William and Jessica Miller of Bronson, Aaron and Crystal Farmer of Many, La., Heather Lofton and Jeremiah Cole of Beaumont; great grandparents, Mike and Darla Holder of Hemphill, Lydia White Brackin of Hemphill, Roy (Skeeter) White of Hemphill, Carolyn and Robert Brazil of San Augustine, and L. G. and Lorna Miller of Bronson; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Frankie Youngblood, 90, of San Augustine, passed away on May 28, 2024. He was born on December 23, 1933, in Hemphill, to Harry and Willie Gooch Youngblood. Frankie proudly served in the United States Air Force as a Jet Engine Mechanic for 28 years before retiring at Reese Air Force Base in Lubbock,. After retirement, he returned to Sabine County. He was a graduate of Hemphill High School and held an associate's degree in real estate. Frankie was a member of Yellowpine Missionary Baptist Church.

John Byron Wolfe, Sr., 80, of Hemphill, passed away peacefully at his home on May 19, 2024. He was born on March 12, 1944 in Houston, to Aubrey Odell and Gertrude Boyett Wolfe. John was a lifetime resident of Sabine County. Before retiring, he worked for the telephone company for several years before transitioning to Pipeline Inspection, taking him all over the country and overseas as well. JB was a loving father, grandfather and wonderful friend. He was an avid animal lover who gave his all in taking care of his beloved Buddy and Brandi.
