Elizabeth Harley Fore
IElizabeth Harley Fore, affectionately known as Aunt Cootie, passed away on September 7, 2024, in Pineland, at the age of 92. Born on September 25, 1931, in Pineland, to William Harley and Minnie Bell Mc-Clelland Harley, she dedicated her life to her family as a loving housewife and mother. Elizabeth's life was marked by her commitment to caring for her family and her community. She was a lifelong member of the Strickland Crossing Church of God, where she was deeply involved in various church activities. Elizabeth found joy in quilting, a hobby that not only brought her personal satisfaction but also warmth and comfort to those around her.
She leaves behind a loving family: her daughter, Kathryn Welch and husband, George; son, Gary Fore and wife, Barbara; grandchildren, Jeffrey Coulter and wife, Heilyn, John Wesley Welch and fiancé, Diane, Teresa Jones, Leslie Whitmire and husband, Justin, Travis Fore and wife, Anjee, Taylor Welch and husband, Tristen, Ty Fore and wife, Jessica, Crystal Medley and husband, Brian, and Jessica Motes. Elizabeth was also a proud great-grandmother to 23 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren, along with many honorary grandchildren who adored her.
Elizabeth will be greeted at Heavens gates by the love of her life, her beloved husband of 56 years, John D. Fore, her parents, William and Minnie Harley; her children, Ricky Fore and Shirley Welch; and her granddaughter, Stacy Lynn Fore.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, September 9, 2024, at Strickland Crossing Church of God, 3477 Plainview Rd., Pineland, Texas.
Funeral services will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at Strickland Crossing Church of God, officiated by Bro. Charles Moody and Bro. Curtis White.
Burial will follow at Lott Cemetery on Plainview Road. Serving as pallbearers are Travis Fore, Dustin Welch, Cory Jackson, Cheyenne Rumsey, Bryan Best and Jeff Coulter. Honorary pallbearers are Ty Fore and Wesley Welch.
All arrangements are under the direction of Starr Funeral Home, Hemphill, Texas.
Elizabeth's life was a testament to her unwavering faith and dedication to her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
