His work was not just a job but a passion, allowing him to explore different landscapes, which he greatly enjoyed.

Marshall Parker Williams

Marshall Parker Williams was 82 years old when he passed away at his home in Hemphill, on Friday, July 26, 2024. He was born on January 15th, 1942, in Houston, to Janis and Claude Williams, who both preceded him in death. He was a man who valued and craved knowledge. In 1963, he earned his bachelor’s degree from Houston’s prestigious Rice University where he met his first wife Sharon Marie Sammis, who also preceded him in death. Sharon and Marshall were married August 31, 1963. After a tour in the Army, he attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, where he earned both his master's degree and finally his doctorate degree in mathematics in 1972. It was during this time that he and Sharon Marie had their son Randall Lee Williams.
