Allene Jo Kane, 81, of Vidor, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025, in Groves. She was born on January 11, 1944, in Beaumont, to Allen Joe Porter and Gerldine Wagner Porter. A longtime resident of Vidor, Allene cherished time spent with her family and had a deep love for Elvis Presley and his music. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Garland Reinford Kane. She is survived by her son, Reinford 'Randy' Allen Kane and his wife, Kim, of Vidor; grandson, Blake Allen Kane and his wife, Kelsey; granddaughter, Shae Michelle Kane; and great-grandsons, Graham, Griffin, and Grayson Kane.

Rebecca 'Becky' Jean Greer, age 67, of Willis, passed away on February 10, 2025. Becky was born on October 23, 1957 in Carthage, to Herbert and Dorothy Dortch. Becky was raised in Pineland, and graduated from West Sabine in 1976. She met her husband in high school and they were married for 45 years. Becky and Randy moved around to different areas but eventually settled in Willis. Becky loved to go shopping, watch NASCAR and the Astros.

Gladys Jewel Smith Galloway, 95, of San Augustine passed away Friday, February 14, 2025. She was born September 11, 1929, in San Augustine to parents Pink and Susie (Cooper) Smith. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother as the matriarch of their family. Mrs. Galloway was a member of the Full Gospel Church and was a faithful pastor's wife, always standing with her husband, the late Rev. James Galloway, founding pastor of Bronson Revival Center.

Gary Lee McDonald, born on October 9, 1948, in DeRidder, Louisiana, passed away on February 4, 2025, at St. Luke's in Lufkin. He was the beloved son of the late John Wayne McDonald, Sr., and Johnny Grantham Mc Donald. Gary spent his career as a dedicated hunting and fishing guide around Toledo Bend Lake, where he shared his passion for the outdoors with countless others. He cherished the friendships he formed during his years guiding and found immense joy in the time he spent hunting and fishing.

James Karl Bryant, 68, of Rosevine, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2025. Karl was born on August 7, 1956 in Pasadena, to Benny and Peggy Bryant. He later became a lifelong resident of Sabine County where he had lived since 1991. Karl was the proud owner of Action Dirt Services, Inc for 30 years. Outside of his professional endeavors, he was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting wild game. He also had a love of classic cars and always looked forward to attending the many antique car shows in his 1935 Chevy Panel truck with his wife Sandy and granddaughters, Brianna, and Karlynn. Karl was a devoted family man, and his grandchildren were his pride and joy. He made numerous memories with them over the years as the greatest PawPaw on earth!
