Tommy Chapman, born October 28, 1960, passed away on August 30, 2022 in Houston. He was born in Houston, but spent most of his teenage years in Geneva. He was a graduate of Hemphill High School. He was a retired member of the Houston Police Department (HPD). During his tenure with HPD he spent 28 of his 35 year career working within the narcotics division. There he formed many friendships that quickly became brotherhoods. He was known for his knowledge, hard working determination, and the well deserved trust that he would keep everyone around him safe. He also worked closely with the River Oaks Garden Club, Rice Design Alliance, Lawndale Art, and Sawyer Yards during most of his time within the department. Tommy was dedicated to the friends and colleagues he made with the fine arts communities of Houston. His close friends Bolton Linden and Donny Crowell, along with many other life-long friends provided him happiness and companionship on his many trips to Geneva.

discharged from the Army, he came back to Texas where he met and married Carolyn Nash. In Denver, he went back to college and graduated from Metrolpolitian State University.

Calvin Ray Stephens, 67, of San Augustine County, passed away suddenly on Saturday, Aug. 20, 2022. He was born Feb. 7, 1955, in Houston, to parents, Lelia Mae (Hebert) and Jasper Miles 'Duke' Stephens. He had lived in the San Augustine area most of his life and was a resident of Twin Lakes/Stone Creek Village for the past several years. His survivors include a host of nieces; and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lelia Mae and Jasper Miles 'Duke' Stephens; along with his brothers, Jimmy Wayne Stephens and Robert Dennis Stephens; and sisters, Theresa Ann Rodriguez and Lelia Mary Stephens.

Donny Impson of Hemphill; son, Kevin Impson and wife, Debbie of Hemphill; sisters, Janet Ebarb and husband, David of Pineland, and Penny Jackson and husband, Bruce of Beaumont; grandchildren, Shelby Wall and husband, Punkin, Ella Impson, Emily Elliott, and Justin Elliott; great-grandchild, Madilyn Griffin.

Patsy Anne Barcheers led a good life of 87 years. She lived it believing in theLord and loving her family. She spent most of it in Odessa, with her beloved husband of 68 years. Her final three years ended in Liberty Hill, on Aug. 15, 2022.
