David Glenn Antilley Jr.

David Glenn Antilley, Jr., 40, of Hemphill passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2022, at Kingwood Medical Center in Kingwood. He was born on Nov. 30, 1981, in Galveston, to David Glenn Antilley, Sr., and Janie Butler. He grew up in Sabine Pass and graduated from Sabine Pass High School. He was a resident of Hemphill, worked as a self employed carpenter and handy man. He was very active in theater arts, loved to paint and tending to his flower garden. He enjoyed the beach, long road trips and fishing. He was avid fan of Texas A&M and studied astrology.

George Lamar “Bo” Beauchamp

George Lamar “Bo” Beauchamp, 83, died unexpectedly in his home July 17, 2022. He was born Feb. 3, 1939, in a log cabin in Sabinetown, the son of George Lamar and Pearl Elizabeth (Anderson) Beauchamp. He graduated from Bronson High School in 1957. Following graduation, he joined the United States Air Force and served as an aircraft mechanic. During this time, he married his high school sweetheart, Martha Ann Epps. They celebrated 62 years of marriage this past February. Between active duty and Air National Guard duty, he worked for Dyna Electron, a contractor for NASA, where he maintained the astronaut’s aircraft. The last 20 years he and Martha resided in Odessa. You could always find him building remote control airplanes, working on a Ford, or playing a game of 42. He was also a proud member of Ace in the Hole Club.

David Lee Boney

David Lee Boney, 61, of San Augustine passed away Sunday, Aug. 7, 2022, at his residence. He was born Oct. 1, 1960, in Houston to parents, Lewis Carroll Boney and Leta Faye Smith. He was a longtime resident of San Augustine, and enjoyed every moment of time spent with his children and grandchildren. He was a skilled carpenter and roofer. He enjoyed competitive sports, particularly watching and coaching baseball. He spent many days at the ballfield whether playing, coaching, spectating, or yelling at the umpires. He was a yoga and martial arts enthusiast, spending many days teaching and practicing with close friends and family. He loved nature and the outdoors, particularly the ocean. He enjoyed fishing, camping on the beach, and teaching his kids and grandkids to ride the waves. He also loved playing games with his family and friends whether it be Wednesday night horseshoes, throwing darts, or a game of cards.

Linda Fay Cox

Linda Fay Cox, 78, of Milam, passed away Friday, Aug. 12, 2022, in Good Shepherd Medical Center, Longview. She was born July 11, 1944, in San Augustine, to James Paul Mancill and Willie Beryle Stokes Mancill. She was a long-time resident of Chinquapin Community before moving to Milam 41 years ago. She was a member of Camp Springs Baptist Church. She was truly one of a kind. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and she loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved to host game night and play cards and she enjoyed cooking for her family. She had a very special bond with her great-granddaughter, Hadilyn. She and Hadi loved to play teacher and do hair and makeup together at 'Cox Corner.'

William Howard “Donny” Garrett

William Howard 'Donny' Garrett, 64, of San Augustine, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2022, in Dallas. He was born Aug. 21, 1957, to parents Mollie Beatrice Curl and Holman Garrett in San Augustine. He was dearly loved by his family. Those who are left to cherish his memory include his daughters, La Torshia Sigler of Houston, LaTya Williams of Fresno, and TorShundra 'Shae' Garrett of San Augustine; grandchildren, LaTavia Edwards, Tyvarian Lane, JaTyrian Lane, Amyrah Malone, Amanii Malone, Terriya Williams, Jayden Edwards, Neko Edwards, and Kaisen Edwards; a great-grandchild, Legaci Edwards; sisters, Jeannette Roberts of Nacogdoches, Candace McCoy of Lancaster, Jessica Garrett of Nacogdoches, Shonica Garrett of Dallas, Vandra Jones (Jacquet) of Ft. Worth, and Mary Adams; along with special sisters, Marcia Garrett (Antonio) and Sherry Garrett (Timothy); brothers, Paul Jackson and Tracy of Lufkin and Steve Garrett and Shante of Lufkin; special brother, Gary McCoy Sr., along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Danny Ellis McGee

Danny Ellis McGee, 75, passed away Sunday, Aug. 7, 2022, at Overton Brook VA Medical Center in Shreveport, LA. He was born May 10, 1947, to Sam Rayson and Hazel Marie (Burns) McGee. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era, where he was a sharpshooter (rifle). He received the National Defense Service Medal and Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal in Korea.

Boyd Miles Miller

Boyd Miles Miller, 99, a loving husband and father of two children passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2022. He and his wife were residents of Hemphill for the last 30 years living in Six Mile. Born Dec. 17, 1922, in Alexandria, LA, enlisted in the Navy at 17 and spent most of WWII stationed in Hawaii. In March, 1946, he returned to his home in Port Arthur. In September 1946, he married the love of his life and his partner for the next 76 years. By 1960, the couple was able to build their dream home in Winnie. For the next 30 years, they reared their two children, he was a deacon at First Baptist Church, continued his Masonic work, and joined his wife in Eastern Star leadership throughout the area. In 1990, they decided to retire to Housen Bay on Toledo Bend and were able to spend the last 30 years fishing and hosting family and friends.
