Calvin Ray Stephens, 67, of San Augustine County, passed away suddenly on Saturday, Aug. 20, 2022. He was born Feb. 7, 1955, in Houston, to parents, Lelia Mae (Hebert) and Jasper Miles 'Duke' Stephens. He had lived in the San Augustine area most of his life and was a resident of Twin Lakes/Stone Creek Village for the past several years. His survivors include a host of nieces; and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lelia Mae and Jasper Miles 'Duke' Stephens; along with his brothers, Jimmy Wayne Stephens and Robert Dennis Stephens; and sisters, Theresa Ann Rodriguez and Lelia Mary Stephens.

Patsy Anne Barcheers led a good life of 87 years. She lived it believing in theLord and loving her family. She spent most of it in Odessa, with her beloved husband of 68 years. Her final three years ended in Liberty Hill, on Aug. 15, 2022.

Wanda Nan Boyett, 86, of Hemphill, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2022, at Legacies Nursing and Rehab in Hemphill. She was born in Rusk, on Jan. 18, 1936, to Robert Nance and Tommie Berry Nance. She had lived in Sabine County since 1980, having previously resided in Alto. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed arranging flowers, watching the hummingbirds and seeing the mountains.

Michele Elois Meleton

Michele Elois Meleton, 74, of Pineland, passed away Sunday, Aug. 14, 2022, at Sabine County Hospital in Hemphill. She was born in Houston, on Feb. 4, 1948, to Robert Curtis Keller and Zelma Elois Ansley Keller. A native of Houston, she had lived most of her life in Pineland and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She had worked as an office manager in the medical field for many years. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed celebrating holidays with her family. Her life revolved around her grandchildren, her family and her church.
