Jack Tanner Sommerfield, age 27, of Dallas, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 12. He was born in Dallas, on Feb. 2, 1995, to Blake B. Sommerfield and Dana Hyden Sommerfield. He is survived by his mother, Dana Hyden Sommerfield; his sister, Jordan A. Sommerfield; grandmother “Nana” Jean Sommerfield; grandparents, John Larry “PaPa” and Beverly “Nanny” Hyden; great grandmother Myrtle Hyden Slade, “MeMaw”; Great Uncle Ken and Aunt Rhonda Beamesderfer; Uncle Dean Sommerfield; Uncle Mike and Aunt Kara Hyden: Uncle Tony and Aunt Lisa Cooper; Uncle Roly and Aunt Holly Carrizales; cousins, Bryant and Lauren Hyden, Garret and Mary Hyden; John Marc Cooper Julia Cooper, Craig Cooper and Josh Johnson; Lauren Savoie; Lauren and Lincoln Carrizales; baby cousins, Leeland, Wyatt, and Anna Hyden, Joye Cooper and Baby Hyden; cousins, Tracy and Susie Beamesderfer, Luke and Faith; Brent and Shelly Beamesderfer and Hunter. God mother, Pam Russell Bond; God father, Paul Stephenson; and his God children, Gunner Ace Bates, Crew Joshua Boltd, and Logan Marie Morway.

He is preceded in death by his father, Blake B. Sommerfield; grandfather, “GranGran” Jack B. Sommerfield; grandmother, “MawMaw” Helen Joye Hyden; great grandfather, John Louis Hyden; great grandparents TD Hines “PawPaw” and Helen Ellison Hines “Lady”; and great grandfather Wayne Slade “Pop”.

Graveside Services were held Nov. 18, in Yellowpine Cemetery, 6599 SH-87, Hemphill, under the direction of Starr Funeral Home.

Serving as Pallbearers are Micheal Hyden, Bryant Hyden, Garret Hyden, Dean Sommerfield, Tony Cooper, Lincoln Carrizales, Josh Boldt, and Austin Morway.

Lunch will be provided for the family after the graveside ceremony at Yellowpine Macedonia Baptist Church, Highway 87 South at FM 2343, Hemphill.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Zion Lutheran Church and School and Dallas Lutheran Baseball Team.
