Glenn Arthur Phillips of Hemphill passed away early Monday, October 24, at Hemphill Care Center at the age of 81 years, 1 month. He was born September 24, 1941, in Many, La., to parents Winnie Lee (Livingston) and George Washington Phillips. He had lived in Sabine County most of his life and retired as a welder from Temple-Inland, Pineland, after several years of service.
Carol Alice Shakespeare Miller, 74, peacefully drifted into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, with her husband by her side on Wednesday, October 26, in Hemphill. She was born December 12, 1947, in Bessemer, MI to William Shakespeare and Alice Sandra Aho, both who preceded her in death.
Michael Simmons Shipley, 40, of College Station, passed away Sunday, October 23, in Lufkin. He was born in San Antonio, on June 9, 1982 to Lynn Alan Shipley and Rhonda LaNell Simmons. He had recently moved to Geneva from College Station where he had resided for the past 12 years. He was a major Aggie fan and enjoyed herb gardening. He also was an avid Lord of the Rings Fan. Michael was a talented chef and musician that enjoyed writing and playing.
Kenneth Eugene Walker, 61, of Timpson, passed away on October 19, in Nacogdoches. He was born on May 30, 1961, in Huntsville, to Billy Gene and Gay Nell (Inman) Walker. Funeral services were held Oct. 29, at First Baptist Church, Timpson, officiated by Bro. Kevin Windham. A private graveside will follow.
