Body William Darrell Baggett, 80, of Broaddus died suddenly Tuesday, May 2, 2023, in San Augustine. He was born Sept. 1, 1942, in Malvern, Arkansas, to parents William Silas and Valah Clara Baggett. He grew up in Columbia, Louisiana, and had lived in the Broaddus area for the 22 years.

Body Elmon D. 'Don' Cassel, 71, of Alvin, Texas passed away Monday, May 1, 2023 at his residence. Don was born in Center, on March 4, 1952 to Vinon Elmon Cassel and Johnnie Faye Steele Cassel.

Body Mary Nancy Swearingen, 77, of Hemphill, passed away Sunday, April 23, at her residence. She was born in Maryville, TN on February 13, 1946 to Thomas Haynes and Irene Newberry Haynes.

Body Mary Ann Noble, 81, of San Augustine passed away April 19, 2023. She was born July 14, 1941, in Broaddus to parents Robbie Lee (Sanders) and George Elton Lacy.

Body Earnestine 'Tina' Nobles, 75, of Broaddus passed away April 21, 2023, at her residence. She was born July 6, 1947, in Jasper to parents Gladys (Locke) and Johnnie Walker Bevil and was a graduate of Jasper High School.

Body Floyd Raymond Newman, 81 of Pineland, passed away Saturday April 22, 2023. Raymond was born on January 15, 1942 in Pert, to Jimmie and Nancy Newman. Hef moved to the Houston area as a toddler with his parents and siblings.

Body Sandra Jo Heller, 58, of Hemphill, Texas passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at her residence. Sandra was born in Port Arthur, Texas on June 24, 1964 to Joe Edward Best and Gwendolyn Dunn Best.
