Lightening bugs!

Body
I stepped up, onto the back porch and turned off the carport light. I started walking down the porch, to unlock the back door. Then, I noticed a “lightening bug.” It was flying along with me, as I walked. It thrilled me, as I remembered these bugs from my childhood. I watched it until, it went out of sight.

Welcome Integrity: Common Wish

Body
I wished I could be in a circle of Friends with pure hearts, so pure, we could confide what our wishful story would entail. I fathomed the unfolding of each “I wish” story to be heavenly, so much so, that it will so be in Heaven, divinely blessed. It seemed to me then as it often resurfaces even now that Friends’ hearts encourage, support, and love unconditionally just as our Jesus directed us to live.

Milestones and Moose Dancing...

Body
“Milestones and Moose Dancing” is one of the best plays I have ever read in my 60 years in theatre. The playwright, Gale Alexander, from Wyoming, has written a spectacular show with comedy, drama, and surprises intertwined at every turn. This is a challenging show which includes a car on the set! This is one you will not want to miss. You can identify with at least one character, maybe more, in this heartfelt play opening Aug 14th at the Hemphill Little Theatre.

From Ruin to Restoration: Holly Park a year after tornado

Body
It’s hard to believe that a year has come and gone since Sabine County’s beloved Holly Park experienced a devastating storm, but the resilience and restoration is nothing shy of miraculous. Earlier this month, I visited with Ronnie Greer and Lisa McDaniel at the Holly Park Store. While I enjoyed a mouth-watering cheeseburger hot off the grill and a Dr. Pepper, the ladies recalled how differently things looked a year ago.
