WSISD is in great shape

Body
The WSISD held it’s regular school board meeting on Tuesday evening and after pledges to the American and Texas flags, heard Dr. Gilder’s Superintendents Report. The District is in great shape financially due to several grants being paid out, and the District is constantly trying to position themselves to be able to pursue as many more grants as favorably available. As the new school busses and other vehicles arrive, the District will auction off the old ones, along with other old school items in inventory. The date for the auction is yet to be determined. Also noted is that the process for procuring the new security cameras and state of the art security system for WSISD campuses is moving along with no issues. Campus reports reveal that the students are actively participating in several scholastic competitions and are doing quite well.

Ponderings of a Concerned Citizen

While the Cook Political Report showed that Republicans did outperform Democrats nationally by a margin of 51.1% to 47.4%, the balance of power in the United States shifted at a snail’s pace. Even more frustrating to voters, however, is that the final control of Congress remained uncertain for nearly a week after election day.
