Memories and Musings

Body
When I was a teenager several of my girl friends tried to teach me to dance. You know, the various dances typical of the 1950s era. Although I was musically inclined, I never quite mastered the dance steps, at least not confident enough to ask a girl to dance at a party.

Participants must fully equip in climbing hooks and loaded tool belt, ascend the pole, disconnect a 200-pound dummy and lower it to the ground. Josh completed the task in 1 minute, 24 seconds. Journeyman, Coy Bennefield is bringing home 3rd place in the Speed Climb. 58 entries competed in this race. The Speed Climb, tests competitors' agility and speed. Linemen must climb to the top of the pole, ring a bell and descend all with a real egg in their, “ditty bad”. If the egg breaks, they lose points. Coy completed the race in 27 seconds. Apprentice, Blaine Gaddy completed the Speed Race in just 25 seconds, but unfortunately suffered a broken egg. DETCO is so proud of this Rodeo Team! Congrats
