Body Sabine County Commissioners Court held it’s regular meeting on Tuesday, October 10th and after the opening prayer and pledge to the flag they approved the last meetings minutes. There were no lineitem transfers or budget amendments to consider.

Body The Pineland Service Club met in regular session October 12 with a light agenda. The first item was a citizen’s presentation from Brian Smith of Sleep In Heavenly Peace, an organization out of Kimberly, ID that constructs beds for children ages 3-17.

Body Homecoming weekend was enjoyed by the Hornet Class of 1982 with a reunion and lots of laughs and memories shared.

Body This fall has been stellar for Pineland native and West Sabine graduate Teresa Weatherspoon. She was in town for Pineland Day and the unveiling of the Top 100 in UIL Penants that the Tigers presented on Oct. 6. (Full details on that ceremony in next week’s edition.

Body The 273rd Judicial District Court of Sabine County met to enter pleas on October 10 in both Sabine and San Augustine counties. Judge James Payne was presiding over the criminal court with District Attorney Paul Robbins as the state agent.
