The Sabine County Chamber of Commerce held its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, February 13th at their newly remodeled office building. After the opening prayer and pledge to the flag, the meeting attendants were treated to several songs performed by the kids of the First Baptist Church preschool students. They were amazing!

Dollar General is excited to announce it recently remodeled and updated its store at 101 US HIGHWAY 96 N in PINELAND to its DG Market format. The new store format plans to provide area residents with an updated layout and new offerings including an expanded selection of fresh meats, fruits and vegetables, as well as the same categories, brands and products customers trust Dollar General to carry.

Lisa Lane, FN-P cuts the ribbon at the Grand Opening of the West Sabine Community Clinic, located at 103 Timberland Highway in Pineland, Texas. Starting February 19th, the Clinic will be offering comprehensive family medicine services to the Pineland community and its surrounding areas. A large crowd was in attendance for the event, and enjoyed pulled pork sandwiches and a tour of the facilities.

Alissa was originally listed as a runaway, but has been upgraded to a missing person when she wasn’t located. All leads are currently being investigated. The San Augustine County Sheriffs Office is seeking the public’s help in locating a missing juvenile. She is identified as Alissa Sandefer, a white female approximately 5’04, 120 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes, and is 15 years old. Alissa was last seen on February 10, 2024 on old FM 705 and know to frequent the Jasper area also. If anyone knows the whereabouts or any information of her whereabouts please contact the San Augustine County Sheriffs Office at 936-2752424.
