Body The HISD School Board met on Monday, May 13th, and after opening prayer, pledge to the flag and the reading of the Mission Statement, Kim Scales and Andrea Procella Bishop took their renewed oaths of office.

Body Both Brookeland squads hit their respective diamonds this past weekend looking to extend their seasons in Hudson.

Body The Brookeland LadyCats looked to extend their dream season vs. Chester May 9 while the Wildcats baseball squad kicked off theirs May 10 vs.

Body All good things must come to an end, it has been said. Unfortunately for both the Tigers and Lady Tigers this end came this past weekend.

Body Kane Ross and Caden Wright, of the Hemphill Hornet Bass Club, took 30th place overall out of more than 400 High School Bass Club teams competing in the SETX HS Bass Tournament Championship on Rayburn this weekend. On Saturday, Kane and Caden brought in a 5 fish limit weighing 10.
