Norman Carol Reeves, Sr., 69, of Pineland passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at his residence. He was born August 19, 1953 in Pineland to Ira Kirby Reeves and Arlie Wilma Fairsheet Reeves. He was a lifelong resident of Pineland and a graduate of West Sabine ISD. He worked on pipelines running heavy equipment and was a member of IUOE Local 178. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and playing on his trackhoe and he loved playing with his grandchildren and traveling. When he was home, he liked to watch westerns and hunting/fishing shows. He was a member of New Beginnings Church in Plainview.

Quinton Henry Reynolds, 53, passed away Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Legacies Nursing and Rehab in Hemphill. He was born January 2, 2023 in Dayton to James Henry Reynolds and Sondra Lea Owens Reynolds. He was a longtime resident of Sabine County and a member of Bethany Baptist Church. He loved going to ballgames, particularly baseball and enjoyed playing Street Fighter on his Playstation.

Virginia Nell Casey, 93, of Milam passed away Friday, August 4, 2023 at Hemphill Care Center in Hemphill. She was born in Beaumont on July 29, 1930 to her father, Fredrick Newell Golden, an oilfield worker and her mother, Doris Valerie Henderson, a restaurant cook and later shipyard welder during WWII.

Sister Dainer B. Edwards received her call from the Lord to depart this earthly life very early Wednesday morning, March 8, 2023, at the Legacies Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Hemphill, Texas. At this time, her family would like to present this eulogy for memorial publishing. A beautiful daughter was born to Jasper and Julia Barrett on October 28, 1924, in Milam, Texas. She was the youngest of her siblings and was affectionately called 'Boot' by them. Her parents preceded her in death as well as her siblings, Marion, Rebecca, Jane, Faydell, and Tiny. Dainer's education began at Kyle Community School with Mrs. Bolton; her sister, Jane, and others also served as her teachers. In order to receive her high school diploma, she had to relocate to Tyler, Texas, and attended Emmett J. Scott High School. While there, she lived with Mrs. Warren and her family. Upon graduation from Emmett Scott, Dainer enrolled in Texas College and graduated in 1947 with a bachelor's degree in Home Economics. While attending college, she worked for the Blackstone Hotel and prepared salads. Dainer was a charter member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Gamma Epsilon Chapter.

Freddie “Patsy’ Bell Clark’s life came to a close on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at Houston Methodist Hospital in Baytown for Patsy Clark. Patsy was born on March 19, 1942 in Nacogdoches to Freddie Eugene and Ida Bell (Johnson) Norton.

Bonnie Frances Layfield, 88, of Many, Louisiana passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at her resident. She was born December 28, 1934 in Fisher, Louisiana to Samuel Randolph and Nellie Rose Beason. She was a resident of Milam, Texas before moving to Many in 1975 and was a member of Pendleton Assembly of God. She was a loving mother and grandmother who loved spending her time with her family. She enjoyed her flowers and having coffee time with her sisters.

Michael Shane Page, 51, of Hemphill went to his heavenly home on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 9:06 a.m. in Lufkin.

She was a life-long learner, art teacher, wordsmith, Sunday school teacher, artist, horticulturist, lover of animals and nature, advocate for education, gracious hostess, prayer partner, and true friend, but her most treasured titles were devoted wife, beloved Mother, and treasured Maw Maw.
