Body Welcome family, friends, teachers, administrators, and fellow graduates. On behalf of the West Sabine Class of 2022 I’d like to thank you all for celebrating with us today as we enjoy our last moments together and prepare to take on the next chapter in our lives.

Body 27 years of helping to take care of kids, and helping to take care of the teachers who care for the kids came to an end Thursday when West Sabine Aide Shelia Lowe began her extended recess with the end of the school year.

Body West Sabine Elementary graduated three classes from Kindergarten to the 1st Grade, with 39 kids ready to climb the ladder toward their goal of being the Class of 2034.

Body Tuesday evening saw the first of a week long string of graduation ceremonies for the three school districts in Sabine County. Brookeland ISD got things off to a great start with two Kindergarten classes clearing the hurdle to enter 1st Grade.

Body VBS The Refuge Church in Milam will be hosting VBS June 6-10 from 9-12 a.m. BeeKeepers The Sabine County Beekeepers will meet for our monthly meeting on Monday June 6 at 6:30 p.m.

Body The Sabine River Authority of Texas (SRA) was pleased to award the City of Pineland a Community Assistance Program Grant on May 24th as part of SRA’s Fiscal Year 2022 Economic Development Initiative. The $20,000 check will be used to help purchase a backhoe.

Body Monday, the Hemphill VFW hosted a Memorial Day Service for all in Sabine County. Guest Speaker 1st Sargent Carol Waller addressed the crowd. Colors were posted, the Pledge and National Anthem were honored as well as a three round salute. Upon the folding of the flag, 1st Lt.

Body The West Sabine ISD and Pineland Service Club recognized teachers & students that make a difference in the lives of the students and exemplified the qualities of excellence, integrity, leadership, loyalty, respect and selfless service at the end of May.
