As summer sets in, temperatures rise and tempers get shorter. With 9, 375 media outlets regurgitating all of the violence, hate, and stupidity we can tolerate, let’s take a look at a few items of interest that have been pushed to the side.

My Five Cents

This weekend our nation will celebrate the Fourth of July, commemorating the passage of the Declaration of Independence by the Continental Congress in 1776. Have a safe and fun Fourth of July!

The members of Rebel Ridge and Riverbend subdivisions didn’t let the rain stop their festivies. They started their weekend with their annual parade through the two subdivisions where the neighbors line the road ways to watch the carts and fire truck go by and to catch candy.

Accident…Or Negligent?

This is almost certainly an understatement, but, it’s hot. It’s now summer, and it’s getting really hot. In the South it starts getting hot in April, stays hot until November. People know this, and still, since 1998 an average of 38 children will did from being left unattended in hot vehicles.

Pet Talk

No one enjoys the queasy feeling of a stomach-ache, which can turn eating into a chore, while leaving most of us slightly, if not extremely, irritable. A horse dealing with colic is no stranger to these feelings or symptoms.
