Members of the Sabine County Chamber of Commerce, community leaders, family, and friends gathered at Pine’s Chiropractic in Hemphill for the official ribbon cutting and grand opening. The event welcomed new Chiropractor Shawn Riley and his wife Stacy to the community. Riley also operates a practice in Center. Stop by to welcome them to Sabine County and see all they have to offer. The eyes of the competitive bass fishing world are turning toward Sabine County this month. From March 26–28, 2026, Hemphill will serve as the backdrop for the Fishers of Men National Tournament Trail’s 2026 Berkley Classic Team Series National Championship.

Hemphill took center stage this week as community leaders, business owners, and residents gathered for a special sign dedication ceremony officially recognizing the town as the Bass Fishing Capital of Texas.

Toledo Bend Reservoir in East Texas was front and center again with its second Legacy Class entry of the 2026 Toyota ShareLunker program collection season. The Toyota ShareLunker program is a cornerstone of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department’s (TPWD) efforts to grow bigger, better, bass.
