I was drinking a cup of coffee in the middle of the shopping mall. I don’t like going to shopping malls, but The Gracious Mistress of the Parsonage sent me to get a new dress shirt for Sundays.

I wanted to go to church. It was Wednesday and because of my illness, I had missed a lot. (I had been watching the services online.) But, I was still too weak, to drive. Thank God, my daughter and her husband had come home. They have to come, from time to time, to take care of business.

The level of unbelief in the church is astounding. Doctrines have been created to explain a lack of power, and other doctrines have been created to explain a lack of results. Some will say that the power of God has “passed away”.

To live a life in faith means to accept the inevitable hurdles while sustaining composure and trust no matter the cost, God has our backs. In all honesty, my parents exemplified humanity at its best while having been immersed in the worst.

It’s hard to believe another year has already started. How many of these new years can a person have without going crazy? That’s my explanation to The Gracious Mistress of the Parsonage about why I am crazy.

Christmas week was a pleasure to me. My son, his wife, their daughter, her husband and their three years old son, were staying at my house. At least at night and early morning. They had lots of activities to attend. The other side of the family, Christmas lights and fire works.

Have you ever felt powerless in the face of the challenges in this fallen world? Has God left you powerless? Or perhaps the voices of doubt and unbelief have convinced you that you have no options.

Rainbows form a complete circle.

I was making a grocery list. I am so happy, that most of my children, will be home for Christmas. I am praying the others will be, too. That’s why I am making a list. I want to make sure that; I have food in the house. If I can’t cook it some of them, can.

Many believers live in the “new creation” covenant as if they were still in the Old Covenant. They still see God as mysterious, unknowable, and untrustworthy. They read the truths and promises of the New Covenant but don’t really believe them.
