Faith

The level of unbelief in the church is astounding. Doctrines have been created to explain a lack of power, and other doctrines have been created to explain a lack of results. Some will say that the power of God has “passed away”. The gospel has become an excuse filled ideology of fatalism in which God gets most of the blame for our troubles.

To live a life in faith means to accept the inevitable hurdles while sustaining composure and trust no matter the cost, God has our backs. In all honesty, my parents exemplified humanity at its best while having been immersed in the worst. I sometimes wish they could walk in the front door like I pray it will be in heaven.

Have you ever felt powerless in the face of the challenges in this fallen world? Has God left you powerless? Or perhaps the voices of doubt and unbelief have convinced you that you have no options. What would you do if you knew you had the power to change your life and influence the circumstances around you?

Rainbows form a complete circle. Mesmerized by their daily appearances on Maui, I ventured to paint a mural with William Wordsworth’s Ode: Intimations of Immortality from Recollections of Early Childhood: “My heart leaps up when I behold a rainbow in the sky: So was it when my life began; So is now I am a man; So be it when I shall grow old, Or let me die! The child is father of the Man; And I could wish my days to be Bound each to each by natural piety.”

Angels are heavenly beings. The good book marks wonders to lead us on God’s will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
