Body The largest barrier for many in the subject of healing is the belief that God is the one responsible for our healing. The theological positions vary from “God wants you sick for His glory”, to “He can heal, but will He?”, to “If it be His will”, to “why doesn’t God do something?”.

Body My father has been gone for 15 years. It hardly seems that long, but time goes by, and you can’t stop it.

Body First Baptist Church, Hemphill is excited to announce that they recently called a new pastor to our community. Rick Harrison and wife Dayna began at the church in January. The Harrison’s have been involved in pastoral ministry for over 30 years.

Body Our attention goes where we focus. I love helping people. I love greeting them to serve whatever good I can. Hospitality is a gift of the heart and writing or painting or baking or cleaning and even laundering, are acquired skills that delight my soul in sharing with others.

Body I was handed a box and told that it was a late Christmas present. I opened it and was amazed. It was the most beautiful cup, I have ever seen. I could hardly believe that these two precious, loving, beautiful friends had done this for me.

Body “and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.” (Mark 4:19) Staying in a living, fresh faith is a challenge.

Body My plans for the New Year were horribly changed by ending up in the hospital. Around the middle of the month, it seemed like I may have had the flu.

Body I paused in the dining room, on my way to the kitchen. I hadn’t been up very long.

Body So the Lord said, “If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,' and it would obey you.

Body One of my grandchildren asked me quite a penetrating question this week. Everybody knows how perceptive these little people are, especially when they are around big people. I am all for questions and answering questions and that sort of thing.
