Last week The Gracious Mistress of the Parsonage had another one of her girl days with our daughter and granddaughter. Don’t let this get around, but it is one of my favorite days of the year, including my birthday.

I am talking about our devotion to the Worship and praise we give to God each and every Lords ‘day. Do you remember when you were converted? Do you remember when you repented of your sins, confessed your faith in Christ Jesus and were baptized for the remission of your sins; added to the body of Christ by God? Do you remember the joy and happiness you felt on that day?

I have noticed recently that sleeping has become a very important part of my life. This just snuck up on me overnight.

I had a forty-five minute drive to meet my two sisters. Soon, I joined them, in one sister’s car. We drove another forty-five or fifty minutes, to join the fourth one. I had looked forward, to this time. We don’t get together very often, because of the distance. Plus, we are all elderly, now.

involved in a very important lawsuit, and she needed the services of a very skilled lawyer. She had been continually urged to secure the services of a very eminent and week known lawyer, but she c0uld not make up her mind to entrust her case to anyone.

I can’t keep count of all the phone calls informing me that I won millions of dollars and a brand-new Mercedes-Benz. All I have to do is send them $15,000 to cover the income tax and processing fee, and they will be able to send me millions of dollars.

It was early morning and I was ready for my coffee. I poured in the water and waited. That surely does look weak. Then, it got a little darker. I poured myself a cup. Yuck! It was extremely weak and just lukewarm. What was wrong with my coffee maker? It was plugged in; so why colored water? Looked like I would have to buy a new one. And they don’t sell this brand, in our town. I decided to try pushing the button on and off. It had looked like it was on. But, when I did that; I found, it was only half on. It had no power coming to it. Because it was half off.

The greatest challenge in our Christian walk is that of learning to live in the Spirit. We have become so comfortable with the logic of our minds, the memories of the past, the circumstances of the world, and our own emotions, that hearing the Spirit can seem difficult.
