Living in the Spirit

Body
The greatest challenge in our Christian walk is that of learning to live in the Spirit. We have become so comfortable with the logic of our minds, the memories of the past, the circumstances of the world, and our own emotions, that hearing the Spirit can seem difficult.

Can we be trusted?

Body
My Oklahoma grandson surprised me with a short visit. They had come in for a friend’s home going service. We were talking and the children were playing. I was loving every minute of it. I don’t get to see them very often. It’s just too far away. Every visit is like Christmas morning.

A Chicken Thief

Body
A chicken thief took his son out one night with him to teach him how to steal chickens and not get caught. He told his son, 'Remember now, look to the left and then to the right. Then look in front of you and behind you to make sure that the chicken farmer isn't going to catch you stealing his chickens.' The young boy said, 'okay Dad,' but you forgot to look everywhere!' The father said, 'Where did I forget to look?' The little boy said, 'You forgot to look up. God is watching too.'

Distractions

Body
I was on the way, to have lunch with another widow. A pickup truck was following me. He was pulling a trailer. I don’t drive fast. The road was crooked and he couldn’t pass. I figured he was angry. I tried to get out of his way. But, there was no paved shoulder. I couldn’t. The underpass had two lanes and I decided to make it possible for him, to get around me. I moved over into the left lane and he went on.

Welcome Integrity: Holiness

Body
Can we also commit to holiness? It is virtually impossible to do so though the third book of the Bible, Leviticus, mentions holiness at least 152 times! “Be holy because I, the Lord your God, am holy.” __Leviticus 19:21 We are all at different stages of life and I can only guess that from as far back as we can remember, extraordinary events occurred to bring us on the stage of life where we learned something new. We teach as well.

Welcome Integrity: Commitment

Body
“Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” __Proverbs 16:3 I pray more fervently than ever before because it is with God I can carry the responsibility of taking care of my Family. I have felt joyful every day in recognizing His hand in the flicker of miraculous moments. Murmurings, melodies, cards, smiles, laughter, can fill us with His LOVE and JOY. I write for God’s sake.
