Body Commemorating Memorial Day brings to mind the brave who perished for the freedom in our nation. It is a solemn memorial we respect. Veterans bow their heads knowing more than we who have not filled their boots. To them, we say, “Thank you for your service.

Body My Lufkin kids met me at church and sat with me. Later, after service, they took me out for lunch. Then, they followed me home. We had a good long visit. At least, my daughter and I did. He took a short nap. This was so special, to me. I fully enjoyed my time, with them.

Body A lot of things in life, I am not very good at. That list could go on and on and on.

Body I woke up with something gouging me, in my side. It felt like a boulder was pushing against me. (Well, maybe not a boulder. But, at least something the size of a tennis ball.) What in the world is in my bed? It was making a sore spot on my body.

Body I hate it that Amazon and WalMart and others seem to be taking everything. Money, time to drive to Jasper, Nacogdoches, Lufkin..even as far away as Beaumont.

Body I have always hated getting a new appliance, contrary to most people. Especially, a sewing machine. I didn’t want to learn how to use it. I just wanted to sew. But, this was bigger than that. It was a car! Let the adventures begin!

Body After being married for over 50 years, I have concluded the secret of a happy marriage is a happy wife. What it takes to make her happy is worth all the effort.

Body IN GOD WE TRUST, and I thank God for us who do. Words slide through shattered trust in a broken world, but we carry on because God’s strength in us is greater than darkness. We are protected as we are guided to trust Him.
