“Be strong and courageous… The Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” __ Joshua 1:9 I want to memorize this verse to say it just as I am about to leave the house. The adventures we experience daily may not seem like much as we check off the to do’s, but a bird outside chirps “Hi Sweetie” repeatedly, it takes me by surprise, and makes me laugh. Its Creator meant to lighten listeners. And He notices what captures our attention.

“Our doubts are traitors and make us lose the good we might win by fearing to attempt.'_William Shakespeare So little is known about him but so much of his “life introspections” were written in plays personifying character qualities common throughout the world. How could he have been so favorably clever? Who was his Mom? He penned human ironies in comedies and tragedies. His universal themes live on because he dared expose the twists and turns of truths disclosed or undisclosed. His acclaim surpasses our grasp to the extent that the Old English (in which it is written) is difficult, and complex. Nonetheless, there are students who take to reading his works because it touches on “moralities” as it is also poetic. Soap Operas merely scrape the crumbs of anticipation of twisted plots. The plays reveal his genius. They are entertaining and instructional.

I hate it that Amazon and WalMart and others seem to be taking everything. Money, time to drive to Jasper, Nacogdoches, Lufkin..even as far away as Beaumont.

IN GOD WE TRUST, and I thank God for us who do. Words slide through shattered trust in a broken world, but we carry on because God’s strength in us is greater than darkness. We are protected as we are guided to trust Him.

President Abraham Lincoln scripted: “Character is like a tree and reputation like a shadow. The shadow is whatever we hink of it; the tree is the real hing.” Thank God.

The other day I was browsing Facebook and stumbled upon something I found interesting. Just goes to show you if you look hard enough for almost anything, you'll probably find it, sooner or later.
