South Bend Fish Fights...

In the last week, we have seen 3 10+ pound fish brought in. During the 6/18 tournament, Hayden Heck weighed in a 10.46. During the 6/25 tournament, Tim Richardson weighed in an 11.70. While we were at the Six Mile Boat ramp on 6/25, Gary Goss asked us to weigh a big girl that he had just caught, and she weighed in at 10.02.

Hemphill Bass Club tournament

Kane Ross and Caden Wright win the Hemphill Bass Club final tournament of the year with a 4 fish stringer weighing 8.93 lbs., that included the Big Bass of the tournament weighing 3.40 lbs. Weigh-in was at Holly Park Marina. Second place went to Lake Mc-Daniel with 3 fish weighing 4.24 lbs. Third place went to seniors Devyn Booker and Talan Pierce with 2 fish weighing 2.79 lbs. Fourth place went to Derek Dobbs and Brently Elliott with 1 fish weighing 1.62 lbs. Fifth place went to Elijah Craig and Jayden Zapata. The Hemphill Bass Club hopes to see all of their young anglers, boat captains and families at the awards banquet on Tuesday, May 21st in the school cafeteria starting at 6:00 p.m. Crewdaddy's will be catering the event so don't forget to RSVP. Congratulations to all of the anglers and boat captains!

Rodeo Queen...

Michaela Davis is the 16 year old daughter of Taco and Leslie Davis and the granddaughter of Kerry & Martha Stone and Truitt Davis, the granddaughter of Marie McBride. Michaela attends high school at Fort Stockton high school in Fort Stockton. Texas, she is an honor student. Michaela is an officer in her local FFA, and 4H chapter. Michaela was crowned 2024 Miss Teen for her Comanche Springs rodeo and will be attending the Miss Texas Pageant in June.

Hemphill Bass Club tournament

Seven teams competed in the Hemphill Hornet Bass Club March LeGrande Enterprises sponsored tournament on March 30th. Weigh-in was held at the Pendleton boat ramp where Kane Ross and Caden Wright brought the winning 5 fish limit bag to the scales weighing 14.58 lbs., anchored by the Big Bass of the tournament weighing 5.90 lbs. Way to go guys! The rest of the field were catching fish but had trouble finding the keepers. Taking 2nd place was Brentley Elliott and Dereck Dobbs with 1.95 lbs. 3rd place went to Elijah Craig and Jayden Zapata with 1.79 lbs., and 4th place went to Connor Moore and Bryson Jordan with 1.30 lbs. Congratulations to all the young anglers of the Hemphill Bass Club that competed in the Saturday tournament!
