A fun night...

Body
Pictured is West Sabine senior, Hailey Cunningham (softball, cross country, basketball) with Jessica Adkins, mother (right), and Kim Stott Adkins, grandmother (left) enjoying a night for the athletes. West Sabine ISD held their first annual athletic banquet on Monday, May 9, at the Family Life Center in Pineland. First impressions would indicate that the gathering was a complete success, not only for the athletes, but for the families who were able to join the celebration instead of being relegated to the sidelines. Powerlifting, cross country, track and field, cheerleading, basketball, football, baseball, softball, every athlete in attendance was recognized by the head coach of that sport, with many of them presented certificates for academic or athletic achievements. The banquet gave the families of one sport the opportunity to share in the accomplishments of all West Sabine student-athletes, which, according to superintendent, Dr. Carnelius Gilder, is the goal of the West Sabine ISD family.

Water

Body

The splashing, soothing sound was one of my favorites. Plus, I had a glass full of ice water beside me as usual.
