Faith

We were riding down a highway, through a lovely countryside. I love this route. It has rolling hills and valleys, lush with grass, even at this time of year. (In the Springtime, it is even more beautiful.) We were on our way to Nacogdoches, for my eye doctor appointment. I had had cataract surgery on both eyes. Therefore, I was afraid to drive, that distance, at that time. All of my children had other obligations.

One thing that irritates me is people talking behind my back. I want to be part of the conversation because I know more about me than they do. Or at least I think I do While in the mall recently, I passed two people, and I heard one say, 'Doesn't he look stupid?'

I walked into the dining room, surprised to see dirt scattered over the floor. There’d been no children here. So, what happened? Beneath the window, I had placed two pot plants that, I had managed to keep alive. One was healthy, the other barely alive. (I don’t seem to have, a green thumb, at all.) I found the reason for the dirt. The top of the table that the plant had been sitting on, was lying on the floor. It had been broken off the table legs. That must have made some loud noise. Yet, I didn’t hear it. Maybe I was at church.

I was still way too sick, to be doing this. Yet, here I was. This is the only day out of the month; that this happened. So, I was just praying; I would be able to make it. There was a line of cars. I was probably tenth in line. I usually planned it that way. I would be sitting here for an hour. But, many others would be here, much longer.
