Body Sabine County Judge Daryl Melton has been recognized as a Fellow of the Texas Judicial Academy by the Texas Association of Counties (TAC).

Body Between 1953-1980 there were two city hospitals in Sabine County; one in Pineland and one in Hemphill. On December 23, 1974 the commissioners’ court approved a resolution supporting the formation of a countywide hospital district in Sabine County.
