Let the fire burn!

Body
Ilookedoutthekitchen window, to check on the fire. The boys had it burning and it was large. At first, it had been scary; it was so big. The brush pile had been at least five feet tall. It was probably two car lengths long, too. The storms we had been having, had wreaked havoc on my trees. The boys had come and gathered all the limbs, in a pile, weeks ago. But, it was getting late and they hadn’t had time, to burn them.

Rodeo

Body
The Rodeo was in town this Friday and Saturday night and the crowd enjoyed watching bull riding, break away roping, steer dogging, mutton busting and much more! Always a crowd pleasing favorite, the Mutton Busting drew lots of youngsters to the chutes. Some of the tiny tots were snatched off the animals as soon as they cleared the chute, and others (scared to turn loose of the racing mutton) had to be chased down by the clowns to be rescued, and some experienced the spill!
