Sealy Outdoors Big Bass Splash – The Show

Body
In May of this year, I had an opportunity to participate in the Sealy Outdoors Big Bass Splash tournament on Toledo Bend. If the truth be known, this was not my first time to participate in a Big Bass Splash tournament, but it was the first time in years that my family and I had attended the awards ceremony on Sunday. As we sat in the audience, I witnessed something we rarely see today and that was a two-hour program that was professionally choreographed and professionally presented to hundreds of amateur fishermen and their families.

Hornets rocked by Wildcats

Body
The 2-1 Hornets traveled to Kirbyville on Friday night to face the 2-1 Wildcats. Hemphill scored on their first drive of the night, and after adding a 2-point conversion the score was tied 8-8. This opening drive for the Hornets featured several nice runs by Anthony White, Trevon McDaniel and Dustin Gordon. The drive also displayed a nice pickup by Skylar Paddie on a pass from White, as well as a touchdown pass to Tristan Bragg from White. However, the night belonged to the Wildcats. Kirbyville went on to dominate the rest of the game. The Hornets did manage some strong defense throughout the night, but the Wildcats proved difficult to corral. The Hornets did manage a late score on a rushing touchdown by White, bringing the final score to 5214. Hemphill will travel to Trinity Friday night to face the 0-4 Tigers.
