#UPDATE Michael C. Howard is out of jail today, just one week after confessing that he shot his 20-year-old son and burned his body. December 9, 2024, Howard went before Judge Mixon in Sabine County where his bond was lowered from $20 Million ($10 million for each charge) to $1 million total.

A gunman killed 15 people – 14 of them children – at a small Texas elementary school Monday afternoon, authorities said. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said the shooter walked into Robb Elementary School in Uvalde around noon Central time and opened fire with a handgun.

City Hall held a special meeting on Tuesday, May 10, as a budget workshop to discuss July 1, – June 30, 2023, preliminary budget. There were a few absent council members, but enough were present to constitute a forum, so the meeting continued.
