Body Reality does not always match up with fantasy. My fantasy, once I finally sold my first novel, was that I would print my book in hard copy (which I never do) and carry it out of my office and go somewhere with it— maybe a coffee shop!

Body When a pet doesn’t seem like itself — maybe it’s limping, behaving oddly or seems to just not feel right — getting answers quickly and accurately can make all the difference. However, some issues are hidden deep inside the body, beyond the reach of a physical exam or basic Xray.

Body Session is coming to a close and, as it does, critical deadlines have to be met for legislation to pass. Those deadlines fall throughout the next week and if bills do not pass those benchmarks, they won’t become law this session.

Body On Tuesday, May 20th, the Hemphill City Council meeting opened promptly at 5:30pm with an opening prayer and the pledges to the flags. City Secretary Kelli Beall welcomed attendees and read the City Council Speaker Policy, inviting comments from citizens.

Body On Thursday, May 1, Kalo Axsom ran 56 miles of the Trail Between the Lakes to commemorate 5 years of ultra running and sobriety. Originally from Natchitoches, Louisiana, Kalo’s ultra running training started in 2020 lockdown, and continued after he moved to Florida.

Body This week at the National Honor Society Ceremonies, High School Principal, Jermemy McDaniel announced Lawson Vickers and Ewan MacTaggart as this year’s top seniors. Audie Lawson Vickers is the Hemphill Class of 2025 Valedictorian.

Body While down town the other day I met a friend whom I had not seen for several years. We stopped to visit and I commented “My, you are a sight for sore eyes!” We both immediately knew what I meant by that comment – I was pleased to see my friend.
