Hemphill, Texas – For Sophie Galloway, coffee is more than a morning pickme- up—it’s a lifelong passion rooted in family tradition and a love of natural, handcrafted flavors. A 2019 graduate of Hemphill High School, Galloway wasted no time pursuing her dreams.

Tristan Warner Horton has proudly completed his Basic Military Training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio. Following graduation, Horton also finished the Basic Defender Course, where he earned the rank of Airman First Class (A1C). Both courses were conducted through the United States Air Force Training School at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.

What a wonderful season of support from Sabine County and surrounding areas for this year’s Pineland Day. Kenzy Bragg was crowned as Miss Pineland Day and full details on all the activites and community awards will be in next week’s edition of The Reporter.

On September 26, 2025, The Sabine County Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of the Sabine Parish Sheriff’s Office, in Louisiana, recovered the body of Peyton Hughes, 21 of Springfield, Kentucky from the Toledo Bend Reservoir, near the Alpine Marina. Hughes had been reported as missing since approximately 8pm on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, by his fishing coach.
