Body In honor of Trauma Awareness Month, Sabine County Hospital awarded one registered nurse with the Trauma Nurse Excellence Award. This award represents the excellence that the nurse exemplifies in the knowledge, documentation, and skills in the care of trauma patients.

Body When Hemphills Actors Studio issued a call for assistance with painting backdrops for the upcoming June performance they received more than they asked for. Larry Raines, the current caretaker of McMahon Chapel in north Sabine County, is more than a painter.

Body This week we mourn the loss of 21 Texans in a horrific shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas. Words can not adequately express our grief and we offer prayers of comfort to the families affected, the community, and our state.
