Lake Area Cruisers give back to the community once again. This dedicated groups of classic car enthusists recently donated $3,000.00 to the Sabine County Food Pantry to enable continued distribution of food to citizens of Sabine County.

Sabine County Hospital is pleased to announce the installation of a new United Imaging 80-slice CT (computed tomography) scanner, a significant upgrade that replaces the hospital's aging 16-slice unit.

It was another busy week around the Sabine County diamonds so let’s get started! The Brookeland Wildcats took two tough losses this week, one to the state ranked Chester Yellowjackets 8-7 on April 6 and 4-3 to Apple Springs on April 10.

The 2026 Sabine County Livestock Show has come to an end, and it leaves behind a bittersweet feeling that’s hard to put into words. Show kids are just built different, we pour our hearts, time, and energy into animals that quickly become so much more than a project; they become our best friends.

Three years ago, I was in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, walking through what had once been a large fabric mill. It has since been turned into an art gallery called, appropriately, La Fabrica, where artists of all kinds lease space to show their work.
