The Sabine County Commissioners Court held its regular meeting on Monday, March 25th, and after opening prayer and pledge to the flag, approved the previous meetings minutes. There were no budget amendments or line-item transfers to consider. The Court then accepted all departmental reports.

Allowing pets to roam outdoors can seem like harmless fun, providing them with exercise, mental stimulation, and a chance to explore. Some environments, however, pose hidden dangers that pet owners may not immediately recognize, such as the risk of cryptococcal fungal infections — which can infect the lungs, brain, and other parts of the body.

Offered daily are fruits, whole grain and 1% white milk. March 25: Brown sugar oatmeal, butter toast, cereal w/ string cheese , fresh fruit and 100% fruit juice for breakfast; County bowl w/ whole grained roll, mashed potatoes w/ cream gravy, steamed broccoli, chilled fruit and fresh fruit for lunch.

Daily breakfast comes with cereal, fruit, juice and milk. Lunch comes with fruit and milk.

I was headed outside to feed and water the birds. I reached for my medical alert button. I always wore it, when I went outside. (For those who might not know what this is; it’s a cordless button I wear. It is connected to a machine inside my kitchen. If I push the button; an ambulance will be here soon. Unless I tell them; it was an accident.) My family wanted me to get one; when I started having heart trouble.

I’m unsure if this is a new phenomenon or I’m just starting to catch up on the culture. I know I have a lot to catch up on, and I’m slowly doing it.
