Willie Rae Gaudet, 92, of Hemphill, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2024 at Legacies Nursing and Rehab in Hemphill. Willie Rae was born April 3, 1931 in Bleakwood. She was a resident of Newton before moving to Sabine County in 2005.

William 'Bill' Eugene Bertrand passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2024, in Hemphill, at the age of 86. Born to the late Atley Bertrand and Alma Joyner Bertrand on March 2, 1938, in Port Arthur, Bill lived a life marked by dedication, hard work, and service to his community.

Dorothy Gertrude Birdwell, 94, of Gravel Hill Community, passed away on March 14, 2024. She was born on June 25, 1929, in Yellowpine, to Hollis E. Stewart and Lillie Mae McDonald Stewart. She was a beloved member of her community. Dorothy was a graduate of Hemphill High School Class of 1946.

Billy Bruce 'Bill' Ener, 80, of Pineland, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2024 at Sabine County Hospital in Hemphill. Bill was born September 22, 1943 in Jasper, to Bennie C. Ener and Inez Iles Ener.

Clydelle Cook Rudeseal, the only child of June M. Cook and Norma Plunkett Cook was born August 6, 1923, in Ringgold, Louisiana. She departed this life on March 8, 2024, at the age of 100, in Hemphill.

Rosemary Kathleen Gumm, age 88, of Hemphill, passed away on March 7, 2024 at her residence. She was born on June 12, 1935, in Missouri to Timothy Burroughs and Dorothy Freeman Burroughs. Rosemary, also known as Kathleen, was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker.

Clyde “Leroy” Cooper, age 82, of Broaddus, passed away at his home on March 9, 2024. He left this earth peacefully in the arms of his loving wife, Verna, and daughters, Chris and Trema.

Dempsey Lynn McClelland, 70, of Bronson, passed away on March 4, 2024, in Tyler. He was born on December 17, 1953, in Nacogdoches, to Dempsey Daniel McClelland and Lougena Jones McClelland. Lynn was a lifetime resident of Bronson, and worked in construction as a Crane Operator for many years.

Charles Edward Harvey, Sr., 78, of Carthage, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024. He was born on February 2, 1946, in Burkeville, to parents, Lamar and Irene Opal Harvey. Charles was a hard-working individual who never met a stranger and was known for his generous nature.

Mrs. Lasonia Natasha Jenkins Lister, age 42, of San Augustine. Mrs. Lister departed this physical life on February 22, 2024, at her residence in San Augustine. Lasonia was born May 26, 1981.
