William Rickey Clark
William Rickey Clark, known affectionately as Rickey, passed away on January 28, 2026, in Hemphill, at the age of 71. Born on August 19, 1954, in Hemphill, to William Terrell Clark and Rosa Ann Wright Clark, Rickey spent over three decades as a cherished member of the Sabine County community after previously residing in Port Arthur. Rickey dedicated many years of his life to working as a carpenter at Gulf Oil Refinery, where he was well-respected for his skill and work ethic. Outside of his professional life, he was an avid sports fan and enjoyed fishing, activities that brought him great joy and relaxation.
Rickey’s legacy is carried on by his son, Michael Kelly Clark and wife, Darla, of Port Neches; brothers, Ronald Clark and wife, Kathy, of Bronson, and Michael Clark and wife, Marilyn, of LaBelle. He was a proud grandfather to Kaleb Clark and wife, Mackenzie of Port Neches, Kendall Crow and husband, Corbin, of Beaumont, and Kamee Clark of Port Neches; and a great-grandfather to Kane, Pia, and Goldie Clark, and Lizzy and Warner Crow. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Terrell and Rosa Ann Clark, and his sister, Dianne Shirley Clark.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 2, 2026, at Starr Funeral Home Chapel, 510 Starr Street in Hemphill, Texas, with Bro. Floyd Wright officiating. Visitation will commence one hour prior to the service.
The burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery. Pallbearers include Casey Clark, Cory Clark, Brian Coleman, Brad Coleman, Brandon Coleman, Kaleb Clark, and Rickey Clark.
