Wallace Earl Kilman, Jr. passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, in Jasper, at the age of 76.

He was born on December 30, 1948, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Wallace Earl Kilman, Sr. and Bessie McDowell.

Wallace dedicated his career to serving his country as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. After retiring from military service, he pursued his passion for the outdoors by becoming a fishing guide, sharing his love for nature and the water with others.

A hardworking man who could never sit still, Wallace found joy in being outside—whether working on projects or casting a line into the water. His gentle nature and love for the outdoors left a lasting impression on those who knew him.

Wallace is survived by his wife, Carla Kilman of Hemphill; his mother, Bessie McDowell Kilman of Mississippi; his son, Wallace (J.R.) Kilman III and wife, Marisa of San Saba; daughters, Carly Kilman of Hemphill, Kaneshia Dickerson and husband, Gregory of Hemphill, Holly Cottles and husband, Jonathan of Frisco, and Bethany Krutcher of Mississippi; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wallace Earl Kilman, Sr.; as well as his brother, Ernie Kilman.
