Tommy Lee Blanchard
Tommy Lee Blanchard, 67, of Milam, passed away on October 22, 2024. He was born on November 5, 1956, in Liberty, to James Charles Blanchard and Doris Thompson Blanchard.
Before settling in Milam, Tommy was a long-time resident of Saratoga. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, dedicating himself to the values of honor and discipline that he carried throughout his life. Following his military service, Tommy worked as a truck driver and in the oil field, industries that benefited from his strong work ethic and reliability.
Tommy was an active member of the Bethany Baptist Church and the Shamrock Shores Volunteer Fire Department, where he contributed passionately to his community. His love for the outdoors was evident in his hobbies; he was an avid fisherman and hunter, cherishing every opportunity to be in nature.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Lavinia Blanchard of Milam; sons, Morgan Blanchard and his wife, Wilma, and Lawrence Blanchard and his wife, Leslie, both of Saratoga; daughters, Tabitha Hendrix and her husband, Trey, of Saratoga, Rebecca Lee and her husband, Tony, of Batson, and Lisa Bowman and her husband, Jonathan, of Morton; a step-brother, Brandon McClure; and a sister, Delores Schexnider of Ragley, Louisiana. Tommy was a proud grandfather to 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren who will miss him dearly.
Cremation arrangements were handled by Starr Funeral Home in Hemphill, Texas. Tommy's legacy of dedication, love, and service will continue to influence and inspire all who knew him.
