Theresa May Dietz, 74, of Hemphill, passed away Friday, May 20, 2022, at her residence.

She was born in Eunice, LA, on March 1, 1946, to Raul Veronie and Iris Lejuene Veronie. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed sewing and genealogy. She was a resident of Jasper, before moving to Sabine County and was a member of Jasper United Pentecostal Church.

She is survived by her sons, Timothy Dietz and wife, Stephanie, of Marlin and Clint Dietz and wife, Pamela, of Fannett; daughters, Cathy Papageorgiou and husband, Socrates, of Mt. Airy, MD and Melissa Helton and husband, Donnie, of Hemphill; grandchildren, Brady, Brooke, Amber, Maegan, Jessica, Jacob, Dana, Kyriaki and Joshua; and twelve great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 57 years, Arthur Louis Dietz.

Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, May 25, at Starr Funeral Home Chapel, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, with Pastor Tyron Rainer officiating. Burial will follow services at Mt. Sinai Cemetery in Fair
