Stella Watson, 87, of Milam passed away Friday, Oct. 28, at her residence.

She was born Sept. 15, 1935, to parents Alpha D. (Mc-Daniel) Watson and William W. Watson. She was a longtime area resident and a member of the Baptist faith. She had worked as a cashier and waitress in her early years, but had devoted most of her life to caring for her family and those she loved. She had a great love for the outdoors and spent countless hours working in her yard as long as her health prevailed.

Her survivors include a sister, Joyce Watson of Shelbyville; a brother, Elvin Watson of San Augustine; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Kay McCarty; a grandson, Bobby Bear McCarty; and her parents, Alpha D. and William W. Watson.

A celebration of life funeral service was held Nov. 1, at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home chapel, San Augustine, with Bro. Paul Swearingen, chaplain for Olive Branch Hospice, officiating. Interment followed at Antioch Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Jake Burns, Kerry Burns, James Shull, Cody Jackson, Brayden Russell, and Chris Ramey.
