Robert Louis Shaddock, age 91, of Milam, Texas, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2024. He was born on November 10, 1932, in Lufkin, Texas, to James Oral Shaddock and Catholine Frizzell Shaddock. Robert was a loving husband, father, grandfather, greatgrandfather, and brother.

Robert was a member of the United States Air Force and had earned his master's degree. He dedicated over 60 years of his life to serving as a Baptist Minister, pastoring for the past 25 years at Bethany Baptist Church in Milam.

Bro. Shaddock was known for his warm personality and selflessness. He had been a resident of Sabine County since 1991, previously residing in Nederland. He was a good family man, always there to help those in need, and was fondly referred to as Mr. Enthusiastic during his time as a youth minister. He dearly loved his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Barbara Shaddock of Milam; sons, David Louis Shaddock and wife, Renay of Milam, John Robert Shaddock and wife, Nickie, of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, and Paul William Shaddock and wife, Dayllynn, of Carlisle; daughter, Elizabeth Ann Whitaker and husband, Darrell, of Nederland; sister, Dorothy Collins and husband, Jerry, of Lufkin; grandchildren, Robert Shaddock and wife, Tina, Katie Shaddock, Ross Shaddock, Anna Anjeron and husband, Brian, Darrell Whitaker Jr., Aaron Shaddock, Sarah Shaddock, Isaiah Shaddock, Amanda Shaddock, Michael Shaddock and wife, Shirley; and great-grandchildren Nathan, Abigail, Gabriel, Denver, Lily, and Emilia.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Oral and Catholine Shaddock, brother, James Shaddock, and sister, Doris Bowman.

A visitation will be held on Monday, June 3, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Starr Funeral Home Chapel, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas.

Funeral services will follow visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Mike Tieman officiating.

Burial will follow at Vickers Cemetery in Milam, Texas with his grandsons, Robert Shaddock, Ross Shaddock, Darrell Whitaker, Jr., Aaron Shaddock, Isaiah Shaddock, Michael Shaddock and Brian Anjeron serving as pallbearers.
