Ricky Lynn Chaddick, aged 65, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, in Bronson. Born on July 17, 1959, in Kountze, to Clarence Chaddick and Alma Alice Carroway, Ricky was a lifelong resident of Sabine County. He was a self-employed logger and junkman, known for his love of telling jokes and spending quality time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ricky was an avid fisherman, with a particular passion for trot lining. His presence brought laughter and joy to those around him, and he will be remembered for his vibrant spirit and the love he shared with his family and friends.

He is survived by his sons, Ricky Wade Chaddick and wife, Elizabeth, of Bronson, and David Lynn Chaddick and wife, Heather, also of Bronson; daughters, Rhonda Craig and husband, Lee, of Bronson, Wendy Rhodes and husband, Dalton, of San Augustine, and Amber Gibson of Hemphill; brother, Velton Chaddick and wife, Jean, of Nacogdoches; stepbrothers, Lloyd Hargrove, Lynn Hargrove, and Terry Hargrove, all of San Augustine; sister, Loretta Carrell and husband, Danny, of Nacogdoches; stepsister, Dawn Hargrove of Baytown; 18 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife, Linda Chaddick, and his sister, Elaine Beeson.

Funeral services were held July 29 in the Starr Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Bro. Curtis White.

Burial followed at Bronson Cemetery. Pallbearers included Randall Davis, Tyler Davis, Jesse Anderson IV, Dylan Anderson, Chase Mitchell, Jacob Chaddick, Hunter Davis, and Jerry Welch. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Wilson, Aaron Mc-Cormick, and Josh Chaddick.

Starr Funeral Home in Hemphill, Texas, is handling the arrangements.
