On Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2022, Reta J. Brown Richardson, loving wife, and mother of five children passed away at the age of 85, in her home in Beaumont.

She was born on Aug. 2, 1937, in Mansfield, LA, to Eva Nora Adams Brown and Rollie Audie Brown. On Jan. 6, 1955, She married the love of her life Tommy C. Richardson and traveled all over the world together raising their two sons, Tony, and David, and three daughters, Debbie, Denise, and Pam.

She had a passion for camping, laughing, and spending time together with her family and friends. Her motto was the more the merrier and everyone was treated like family by her and Tommy.

She was preceded in death by her mother; father; and husband.

She is survived by her children, David and Shannon Richardson, Tony and Cheryl Richardson, Debbie and Tommy Peveto, Denise Richardson, and Pam and Jimmy Kee, 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and two great greatgrandchildren.

She will be remembered most by her grand sense of humor, loving heart and welcoming embrace and will be missed by all.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Myotonic Dystrophy Foundation.

A memorial service will be planned at a later date. Cremation arrangements were handled by Starr Funeral Home in Hemphill.
