Preston James Broussard
Preston James Broussard, 79, passed away on November 6, 2025, in Fort Worth. Born on November 8, 1945, in Port Neches, Preston lived a life marked by dedication to his family, his country, and his community. Preston served honorably in the United States Navy for six years, achieving the rank of E3 Seaman. After his military career, Preston worked for 19 years as a Press Man at the Wallstreet Journal, where he was respected for his diligence and commitment to quality.
Preston was an outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting. His passion for the outdoors was only matched by his love for people. He was a people person who never met a stranger, and he cherished the recent joy of meeting his first grandbaby, Dixie Rae Broussard.
Preston was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Inez Broussard.
He is survived by his son, Cody Broussard and wife Dakata of Pineland, his brother, Paul Joseph Broussard of Beaumont, his sister, Janice Marie Hardman and her husband Ed of Fernwood, Idaho and his cherished granddaughter, Dixie Rae Broussard.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Starr Funeral Home Chapel in Hemphill, Texas with Bro. Floyd Wright officiating.
