Ollie Bell Jacks Jordan, aged 100, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at Nacogdoches Medical Center in Nacogdoches. Born on January 25, 1925, in Pineland, she was the daughter of George Burtis Whitehead and Eunie Bell Manning Whitehead. Ollie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She was a faithful member of Bethel Chapel Baptist Church, both in her youth and later in life when she returned to Pineland from Sour Lake, where she and her husband, Carmon, raised their three children.

As the oldest girl among eleven siblings, Ollie took on many responsibilities, helping her parents farm during the Great Depression and caring for her younger siblings. She cherished her grandchildren and enjoyed taking them hunting and fishing. Her family fondly remembers the times spent at the lake, camping, and fishing. Ollie loved to hunt but often stayed home to prepare a big meal for her family.

She had a passion for gardening and canning and was known for preparing meals for her church and those in need. Even in her late 80s, she was active in her church and visited local nursing homes to check on the elderly.

Ollie is survived by her son, Gerald Max Jacks and Ramona of Sour Lake; her daughter, Barbara Lucas of Broaddus; her sister, Gloria Whitehead of Carthage; her grandchildren, Jason Jacks and wife, Andrea, Bryan Jacks and his wife, Danielle, Britni Brandin and husband, Brent, and Lori Gonzalez; and her great-grandchildren, Trent Arena, Kaden Arena, Dominick Gonzalez, Bentley Gonzalez, Taylor Weatherford, Easton Jacks, Harper Jacks, Peyton Jacks, Connor Brandin and Ellis Brandin.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Carmon Jacks; her second husband, William (Bill) Jordan; her son, Glenn Bradford Jacks; and her siblings, Sid, Burtis, Clifton, Charles, Virginia, Harold, Larry, Gladys, and Nelda.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas.
