Maxine Rae Pantalion Jennings
Maxine Rae Pantalion Jennings, 94, of Hemphill, passed away Friday, December 16, 2022 at her residence. She was born November 22, 1928 in Chireno, as the oldest of seven children to Zeno Pantalion and Irene Shaw Pantalion. She was a resident of San Antonio before moving to Sabine County 30 years ago. She was a loving Mother, Nana, aunt and friend. She enjoyed many hobbies, among them included gardening, canning, quilting and antiquing. She loved her family and always looked forward to having her children around her. She was the matriarch of an extended list of nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
She is survived by her sons, Ronald Wagner and wife, Lillian, of Hemphill, Dennis Stilll and wife, Yvonne, of San Antonio, and Rick Still of Hemphill; daughters, Theresa Wagoner of San Antonio, Melody Wagoner of Boerne, Charymain Rasso and husband, Lawrence, of Boerne, and Judy Stewart and husband, Michael, of San Antonio; 29 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, E. W. Jennings; son, Johnny Daffis; daughter, Lily Paris; grandson, Ronald Still; and all of her younger siblings.
Funeral mass was held Dec. 20, in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2508 Appleby Sand Rd, Nacogdoches, under the direction of Starr Funeral Home.
Burial will follow services in Bethel Cemetery, 429 Happy Land Road, Appleby, with Joel Still, Jesse Still, Travis Weems, Michael Still, Caleb Baxter and Canden Baxter serving as pallbearers.
